Ryan Lloyd

Ryan is from Salter Springs in the Mid North, and is commencing 1st year, however agriculture was not his first calling. He graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences majoring in Pathology in 2018, and briefly worked for a pharmaceutical company.

The decision to return to university to study Agricultural Science derives from a renewed interest in science. Ryan is interested in agronomy, and specifically the use of GM crops in farming systems. He hopes to pursue a career in teaching, to share his love of agriculture and ignite passion within the next generation. 

As a part of the 2023 AUASA committee, Ryan strives to help other students succeed in their future aspirations by providing a link to professionals in the industry. He also looks forward to networking through his position to learn from experienced people.
