Charlie Hannemann hails from Keith, a vibrant rural community in the southeast of South Australia. As a key figure in his family’s third-generation farming enterprise, Charlie is deeply involved in a diverse range of agricultural pursuits, including sheep and cattle farming, irrigated lucerne production, and broadacre cropping. His hands-on experience and unwavering commitment to agriculture reflect his genuine passion for the industry and its vital role in supporting an ever-growing global population.

Charlie has a keen interest in sustainable agronomy, recognizing it as a cornerstone of future success in farming. He is dedicated to exploring innovative practices that balance productivity with environmental stewardship, ensuring the longevity and resilience of agricultural systems.

Beyond the farm, Charlie is actively engaged with the AUASA (Agricultural Students Association) committee, where he plays a pivotal role in connecting students with the agricultural industry. Through his position overseeing merchandise, he works to promote a positive image of students while fostering strong ties between academia and the broader agricultural sector. Charlie’s enthusiasm for agriculture and commitment to its future make him a valued member of both his local and professional communities.
