Lucy Bussenschutt
Second Year Representative
Based near Paskeville, Yorke Peninsula, Lucy has grown up on her family farm with broadacre cropping and beef cattle grazing enterprises throughout Paskeville, the Southern Flinders Ranges, and Leigh Creek. Being brought up in a vast agricultural setting has helped grow Lucy’s passion for agriculture, where she has found herself enjoying broadacre and pastoral farming, but particularly cattle. Although she isn’t certain where her degree will take her, Lucy is keen about research around the topics mentioned above and livestock nutrition/production.
Lucy is excited for her role as a part of the AUASA committee as a second year representative. She aims to support peers network and meet various people from the agricultural industry. As her dad’s favourite saying goes, “it’s not what you know, but who you know”, understanding that many opportunities can arise from collaborating with others.
